Learning Dutch might not be the easiest thing in the world, it's
also certainly not the toughest thing: grammar and spelling are -
much more than English - tied to strict rules that usually can be
explained in a few lines.
Still, it's good to have a good teacher and a good book (with tapes)
to guide you. That's why there is a book-section
on this site, with recommendations and even the possibility to order
straight away.
If you want to do it all by yourself, you might use our Free
Online Dutch Course: it contains all the basic grammar, vocabulary
and even pronunciation rules you need and even a lot of online exercises
and tests.
If you feel you still need some help, or just like to contact people
who might run into the same problems, you'll be happy to learn there's
a free mailing list called D4E where hardly
any question remains unanswered.
If you're looking for a school providing Dutch courses in your neighborhood,
the D4E-list is absolutely the best way to find one.
To find schools in the Netherlands, you could contact this organisation
and ask for their list:
